Recent DISCO research shows data security as the top concern for law firms and corporate legal teams

According to DISCO’s recent study on generative AI adoption in the legal sector, data security and privacy concerns were by far the biggest obstacles for law firms and in-house teams when it comes to the implementation of AI tools in legal functions, according to 70% of the survey participants. “We face numerous security hurdles as a regulated entity; additionally, our existing technology is largely outdated, making it more challenging to extract data for effective AI use and deployment,” offered one respondent who emphasized why safeguarding sensitive user data is such a critical factor.
