About the Speakers

Alisa McLellan, Esq. has worked in the eDiscovery field for nearly two decades, and is DISCO's VP of Professional Services, overseeing the Forensics, Data Operations, Project Management, and Disco Desk teams. She is an energetic team leader with proven skills in cross-functional team building, quality performance, and productivity improvement. Alisa excels at developing client-driven workflows which leverage technology to reduce risk and cost. Alisa is a licensed attorney and she completed her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011, where she won CALI awards for excellence in Electronic Discovery and Civil Litigation.
Alisa was also voted into the Order of the Coif—a prestigious national legal honorary society whose members are chosen based on exceptional academic performance while in law school. Alisa contributed on the Electronic Discovery Deskbook treatise and has managed large-scale litigation and second requests, including custodian interviews, collections, processing, document reviews, productions, privilege reviews, and privilege log creation on the law firm and vendor side. She holds multiple ediscovery certifications and is a subject matter expert on complicated and highly technical ediscovery workflows.

Heidi Tandy is a partner in Berger Singerman’s Miami office. Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Intellectual Property Law and a Member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, Heidi has nearly 30 years of experience. Heidi has handled corporate, licensing and litigation matters involving the internet, social media, privacy, intellectual property and tech law issues, for large and small corporate clients and individuals, from retail stores to groundbreaking online content creators, as well as hotels, restaurants, jewelry designers, educators, podcasters, website and app developers, novelists, theatrical producers and an Emmy-award winning makeup artist.
She’s worked with content creators, technology builders, individual business owners, and large corporations to successfully protect websites, apps, copyrights and trademarks. Since the 1990s, Heidi’s work has included the creation of terms of service and privacy policies and best practices, as well as creating website accessibility policies and general internet policies and procedures for companies such as The Bump, the Organization for Transformative Works and Delivery Dudes. Heidi Tandy has filed hundreds of trademark applications, litigated before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the World Intellectual Property Organization and in federal and Florida courts, created and negotiated license agreements and assignments, and protected the rights of clients around the world.

Mr. Pejic is a co-chair of the Greenblum & Bernstein litigation/trial practice group, and is a member of the firm’s start-up/acquisition group. Prior to joining G&B in 1999, Mr. Pejic clerked for a U.S. District Court Judge, and completed a mini-pupilage at Grey’s Inn, London, England. Mr. Pejic litigates a wide spectrum of technologies on behalf of numerous foreign companies in disputes before the U.S. Federal District and Appellate Courts and in contested proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, advises in merger/acquisition transactions, and counsels clients on intellectual property matters including patent, licensing and monetization strategies. Mr. Pejic speaks on and has published articles on these issues as well U.S. litigation practice and strategies, and currently serves as the Secretary of the U.S. FICPI section.
Mr. Pejic’s primary focus is pharmaceutical/bio-tech, including Hatch-Waxman ANDA litigations, and high-tech technologies. He has represented both innovator and generic drug companies in litigations, including serving as lead trial and appellate counsel for generic manufacturers in several “blockbuster” drug litigations, as well as patentees and accused infringers in various other technologies, including medical devices. Mr. Pejic additionally has served as lead IP counsel in due diligence and negotiations for multiple transactions to acquire/sell patents, business divisions and products as well in/out licensing of patent portfolios in the pharma/bio fields. Mr. Pejic holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, a Juris Doctorate and an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law with a focus on Intellectual Property from Georgetown Law Center.

Pam is a Senior Product Marketing Manager and former practicing IP attorney with a decade of experience in ediscovery, including project and review management. Pam graduated with honors from the University of Miami School of Law, where she won awards in Advanced Patent Law and Policy and Civil Procedure II, as well as Best Brief in the C. Clyde Atkins Moot Court Competition. Prior to her career in ediscovery, Pam worked in-house for a world-famous visual artist, and continued her IP practice after law school, counseling clients in copyright and trademark matters. Pam was also an active member of AIPLA, co-authoring a position paper on Oracle v. Google and a white paper on modernization of the Copyright Office.
