You can search using Westlaw-style terms and connectors, or use the search builder to input the terms for you.
How do you search using filters in DISCO Ediscovery?
Users can use the filter pane on the search and review menu to limit the documents they are looking at based on different factors such as date, custodian, doc type, etc. It works in the same way Amazon uses filters when shopping.
How does DISCO Ediscovery’s search builder work for advanced searches?
- Search builder allows users to drag and drop different filters into the builder window and the operations needed (and, or, not, etc) which will then generate the appropriate syntax for that search.
- It allows users to make more complex search queries without having to know how to spell out precise syntax
How can I save and reuse searches in DISCO Ediscovery?
- Once a search is run, users can click the floppy disk icon next to the search bar to save the search. The search can then be pulled up again later
- Additionally, clicking the clock icon next to the search bar pulls up recent searches to quickly run them again
How can I search for hidden content in DISCO Ediscovery?
For new databases, embedded charts in PowerPoint and Word documents are detected during ingest and given a value of "Embedded chart data" for hidden content. This value can be found under Hidden & Supplemental Content in Filters, as well as in the Search Builder as the value "EmbeddedChartData" for "hiddentype" in the Hidden content section.
