Houston, TX — CS Disco Inc. today announced a 200% year-over-year growth in business from AmLaw 200 firms, while growing its overall business 134%. This sends a clear message to the market that outdated discovery technologies no longer meet the needs of sophisticated users, such as AmLaw 200 firms. Today’s legal professionals expect ediscovery software that works intuitively — no matter the size or complexity of the case data. “We see DISCO as an emerging leader in the ediscovery market and look forward to how they can continue to meet our growing demands,” said Jim Rosenthal, Director of Litigation Services for AmLaw 200 firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP.

DISCO continues to invest heavily in both its technology and personnel — an investment that has clearly paid off. Over the past 18 months, DISCO has been tirelessly launching key enterprise features necessary to AmLaw firms. Most notable was the release of DISCO AI in June of this year, which combined the latest advancement in both machine learning and cloud computing to automatically analyze large datasets and expertly apply tagging predictions to those datasets. Other notable feature releases include automated document batching and assignment, interactive QC, expanded user roles and role-based permissions, customized reporting, and two-factor authentication. Additionally, so far in 2017, DISCO has increased its workforce by 78% and continues to hire for key positions. “We are experiencing a period of tremendous growth and continue to invest strategically in our technology and core business. This allows us to bring cutting-edge technology and unparalleled professional services to the market to help solve the daily discovery challenges lawyers face,” said Kiwi Camara, founder and CEO of DISCO.

Offering the market-leading, native-cloud ediscovery solution in conjunction with their experienced service and support teams, DISCO is unmatched in the industry. Compared to competing legacy solutions, their users report a 260% increase in overall user satisfaction rates after switching to DISCO. Add that to the fact users experience on average a 23% improvement in review throughput while benefiting from a 30% reduction in total spend over the life of a case,  and it’s easy to see why AmLaw 200 firms are switching to DISCO.

By operating in the cloud, DISCO’s clients benefit from significant cost reductions. When compared to legacy providers on an “apples-to-apples” basis, customers realize overall cost savings upwards of 30% over the life of a matter. By offering simple flat-rate per gigabyte monthly billing based on the volume of data being ingested, rather than on hidden processing and production fees, their customers benefit from a simplified pricing model that significantly reduces costs. And, for AmLaw 200 firms dealing with lengthy complex matters, that could mean hundreds of thousand of dollars in cost savings for their clients — a win for both.

From the ground up, DISCO was built for speed to respond to the daily challenges faced by AmLaw 200 firms. By leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud architecture, DISCO offers ingestion, search, review, and production speeds that are unrivaled in the industry. Facing a time-sensitive expedited review, DISCO can utilize AWS’s dynamic provisioning technology to accelerate ingestion and production speeds to accommodate any need. “We were amazed at the speed. No matter how much data we tried to upload, we couldn’t seem to slow it down. I don’t think I saw more than five seconds of loading time, working with it for eight hours,” said Sara Ann Brown, Litigation Attorney for Amlaw 200 firm Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP.
